This shows an example of our 1.5 metre special mark buoy. These particular units are used as outfall markers. 		 

FPM-H manufacture a range of navigation buoys - the standard units being:

  • 1 metre fish farm marker buoy
  • 1.5 metre lateral mark buoy
  • 1.5 metre cardinal mark/special mark buoy
  • 1.8 metre buoy mounting all daymark shapes

Other sizes and features are available to special order.

The 1 metre buoy uses a rotationally moulded polythene buoy body carrying a small galvanised steel lattice tower with wing daymarks. The two larger buoys consist of a polyurethene elastomer skin, enclosing a resilient foam core, which is formed around a skeletal steel framework. All fixings are made directly to the innternal steelwork.

Daymark shapes for the port/starboard hand buoys are moulded in pigmented GRP. All other daymark shapes are made from powder coated aluminium - coloured and shaped as required.

All buoys, where lit, are fitted with a lighting assembly consisting of navigation lantern, solar panels, charge regulator and battery bank - the system sized as required for the particular function. FPM-H provide a repair and refurbishment service for their own, and most other makes of, navigation buoys.
