Location: Sharm-el-sheik, Egyptian Red SeaClient: company developing the centre as a mecca for divers. The challenge: to allow tourists to swim in the sea without damaging the sea edge coral. The proposed structure had to stay firmly in place. The solution: we proposed the creation of a floating platform, the structure of which is made from Jetfloat, a modular plastic system. It contains two sections which can be lifted and lowered to provide adult and children's sized swimming pools. The sides of the pools are nets so that local fish come and join you while you are swimming. The outcome: a popular tourist facility which met all the client's and preserved the local environment. |
